| Morgan Hill Weather News: Saturday 9/19/2009 2:00pm Early last Saturday morning was a rare thunderstorm day in the Bay Area. Mostly north of Morgan Hill. There were numerous lightning strikes in the eastern hills and many of those started small wild land fires. Fortunately and thanks to the rapid response of CAL FIRE, none of these fires became a significant incident. Our roving reporter Mark Bristol just happened to be flying out of San Jose International early that morning and following his safe return today, we now have this dramatic video of some of those lightning strikes as his plane took off from SJC: Mark also captured this amazing still image of a thunder cloud as they flew over the central valley: Thursday 9/17/2009 5:55pm Added calendar year archive charts for rainfall, wind speed and temperature to the Trends page. So if you are curious about rainfall for this month in preceding years or wonder how the average wind speed varies with season... this is for you! 2008 and 2007 are covered.
