Thursday 6/25/2009 1:20pm The movie "My Name Is Khan" will be shooting in Morgan Hill this coming Sunday, June 28th. There is even a casting call out for paid extras, so if you have ever wanted to see film making up close and maybe get your face on the big screen... here are the details. Also see the casting agency's page here. Sunday 6/7/2009 9:25am Here's an additional video of yesterday's fire on Dougherty Avenue. This one was captured by our webcam during the most intense period of the fire from around 4:37pm to 4:43pm... Saturday 6/6/2009 5:30pm A large fire at 514 Dougherty Avenue is still burning after an hour of dense black smoke billowing south towards Morgan Hill downtown. Thursday 6/4/2009 11:45am Lots of bright flashes in the southern skies late yesterday evening but no thunderstorms over Morgan Hill. Meanwhile... it's another day and it's Miller Time ! Wednesday 6/3/2009 9:15am A small grass fire in the hills west of Gilroy was quickly contained by Gilroy firefighters with mutual aid assistance on tap from Santa Clara County Fire and CAL FIRE units in Morgan Hill. The fire was reported to be behind 2585 Sunflower Circle in the vicinity of Sunflower and Strawberry Lane and started around 1:15pm yesterday. Gilroy Dispatch has a number of photos here. Our webcam caught the following images of the drifting smoke at around 1:30pm... Oh... we even got a little rain yesterday too! Hopefully more will follow and help to dampen down our rapidly drying hillsides.  |
