| Morgan Hill Weather News: Saturday 8/30/2008 7:10am If you were awoken by wailing sirens this morning, it was for a serious house fire on Oak Leaf Ct that started around 6:25am : Friday 8/29/2008 10:30pm Two additional shots of this afternoon's Dunne fire, taken by local photographer Mark Bristol from his vantage point in town : Friday 8/29/2008 2:40pm CAL FIRE are responding to a vegetation fire off East Dunne Avenue as it winds from Lake Anderson towards the entrance to Henry Coe Park. Multiple units have been deployed on the ground and in the air. Latest radio traffic expects containment at 2 or 3 acres. Wednesday 8/20/2008 9:10am For all fans of the X-Files, here's another strange "sighting" over Morgan Hill :) Sunday 8/17/2008 8:00am Last Sunday afternoon brought us a small grass fire alongside East Dunne Avenue on the steep slope above the uphill split just past Flaming Oak Lane. A very fast response from CAL FIRE had the blaze contained in under an hour. Three air tankers and a helicopter circled the area to prevent possible spread to the many hillside homes in Jackson Oaks. If you came up the hill during the incident you had the pleasure of a diversion onto the lovely but somewhat tortuous Thomas Grade. Friday night around 9pm we saw long backups on 101 south and surrounding side streets as emergency responders dealt with a serious accident at the Tennant Ave. on-ramp. All southbound freeway lanes were blocked at one point. What about the weather? Well... looks like we are cooling off a little and thick fog has settled in early this morning. For all you sunset lovers, here's a webcam shot from Thursday evening: Wednesday 8/13/2008 10:05am Do you have one of those fancy wireless digital picture frames? The ones that can connect to your wireless home network and through that to the Internet, retrieving photos from your PC or a photo sharing web site?
